Minutes from April 2023 meeting
Pacific Northwest Recumbent Cyclists Zoom and in person at Nancie Wolfer’s house. The meeting was held Wednesday April 19, 2023
Attendees were Edna Van Gundy, Dave Van Gundy, Riki Cavanaugh, Bob Parker (Bellingham), Chuck Kilts, Barbara Kilts, Keith Caravelli, Lonnie Morse, Larry Hager(Canada), Sylvia Halpern, Matt Friend, Nancie Wolfer, and Jeff Wills.
Recumbent Retreat 25th anniversary flags (from TerraCycle) will be available to purchase at the Retreat in September.
Edna announced that everything is ready to go with Café Press for ordering Recumbent Retreat 25th Anniversary sweatshirts, t-shirts, cups, mugs, bags, hats and a lot of other stuff.
www.cafepress.com/dd/133437778 will show you photos of all items.
You can also bring things up on CafePress.com by searching for Recumbent Retreat 25th. Only one coffee cup photo will appear, but the column on the left of the page lists all categories that contain Retreat merchandise.
Look thru the website, and everybody can order what items they want in their choice of color (black clothing may be added if we can alter the logo to appear well on black) and size (pay attention to the sizing chart and fit descriptions), pay for it, and it will be delivered directly to your house. A percentage of the profits will come back to PNWRC, which will then be donated to a charity.
Best way to order from CafePress is to create an account – you will receive a confirmation email for your order, plus another email with a discount code to use on your next order. The club would very much like to get feedback (both positive & negative) after placing and receiving yourorders, so we can determine if we want to continue with this format and company for Club and Retreat merchandise.
Paul reported that all our Retreat sites at Fort Stevens are filled, but he has a waiting list that he will put your name on. Send an email with any questions and requests to [email protected]. Paul also is looking for a person to take over as WagonMaster to work with him next year, and then take over the spot.
Business cards will be available next month.
Edna finally heard back from Oregon State Parks, and talked to someone about a memorial bench, but the state parks have stopped putting those in the parks. Theyare suggestingthat we arrange toplant a native tree and thencan have a sign, or a plaque, near the tree. We will have a Field trip to Ft Stevens to ride around and see other memorial trees and plaques before we decide if this is what we want to do.
