Minutes from January 2022 meeting
Minutes from the January 2022 Pacific Northwest Recumbent Cyclists ZOOM meeting that was held Wednesday January 19, 2022.
Attendees in person and on ZOOM were, Paul, Riki, Lonnie, Sylvia, Edna and Dave from Yuma, Bob Parker (Bellingham), Barbara, BJ Ondo (Colorado Springs) and Carlyn Sullivan (West Linn)
BUSINESS:
Report from Edna, we have upgraded with Hostpapa for the website to the Business Pro ($466.20 plus tax for 3 years) Back end issues were fixed, still figuring out how often to do backup.
You can find the website using OHPV.org, Recumbentretreat.org, and/or PNWRecumbents.org (though this last one isn’t up and running yet).
Lonnie gave a report on the Logo, business cards, car stickers. He contacted C. Michael Lewis who had attended the Human Power Challenge, and understands what a recumbent looks like. It will most likely feature a High Racer, a Faired long wheel base and a trike. Consensus at the meeting was that background was ok or not, that no riders on the recumbents (so no he/she/its) but that the recumbents would take center stage.
Discussion with BJ Ondo about trails in Colorado since he was zooming in with us from Colorado Springs.
Sylvia, Dave and Edna caught us up to date on their adventures in Yuma. Sylvia and Dave have been exploring the trails, crossing the border and doing the Ocean to Ocean Bridge across the Colorado River.
Report was given on the ride last Saturday along the river with all of the recumbent bikes that were there.
Respectfully submitted, Riki Cavanaugh
