Where have we been all your life?
What happened to Live Wire this month? Well, the entire crew headed out to perform a show in Union, Oregon for the insane and insanely healthy cyclists on Cycle Oregon, a 500-mile bike ride through the state. That night in Union, 800 cyclists sat like troopers on their sore keesters in the fa-reezing cold and listened to the sweet sweet sounds of ride organizer and Oregonian columnist Jonathan Nicholas, "Metal Cowboy" and author Joe Kurmaskie, poet Scott Poole, musical guests Alan Singley and Pants Machine and local talent Too Loud MacLeod and the Silencers. It was a great trip, and our stage and production managers actually survived 8 hours in a van with the entire cast. Well done, boys!! (We'll pay for the dry cleaning.)
You can hear the fruit of our far-away labor on Saturday, September 30th at 8 p.m. on OPB, 91.5.
