Hi All,

Here are the 2006 Wasco Wild West  race results.  Big news...Michael Wolfe comes through and beats John Schlitter and the other "B" Boys.  Laura Minor wins the womens class, and with it the special Gardner Martin Memorial Fund prize of 
$500.00 in Sacajawea Gold dollar coins.  The tandem race was action packed and the overall winners were Martin Criminale & Martha Walsh of Seattle.  Freddy Markham had planned for six months to make the trip and race Wasco, but was a scratch because of a bad cold two days before race time.  No low-racers made the field as Dana Lieberman from L.A. scratched his NoCom.  The rumor of an appearance of the "Coyote" liner was just that.  I am beginning to think that the mid-west hot dogs are full of hot air and are afraid of how bad they will get beat by our own OHPV fast racers.  That goes for most of the Californians  too.  

  It is disappointing to have a good race set up and get so few to take advantage of the opportunity.  Hopefully next year the tandems will show up in force and rescue this event.  See you all at PIR, but the weather forecast looks bleak.
