Just a recap:
Marilyn posted to OHPV:

soon after, I sent an email out to Jonathon Maus of bikeportland.org
fame and the Ghost Bikers (and CC:ed Marilyn).
Later, Jeff wrote to OHPV:
> Anyone want to bug
> Jonathan about an article?
and while I emailed Jeff that Jonathon et al. were on this event, I
didn't tell the rest of OHPV.
Sorry.
But here's the latest information on where things stand,
fresh from Jonathon Maus via the SHIFT email list:
"lots of folks are wondering about this [the ride of silence]! I'm
happy to report that the permit, insurance and other stuff are being
worked on right now.
The route will likely visit some existing ghost bike sites and I've
put the organizer in touch with Organic Brian [Ghost Bikes organizer]
to figure all that out.
Once everything's official, the organizer can start to advertise
it....and of course I'll post all the details, route, etc., on my
site ASAP. ..stay tuned.

Of course, this doesn't rule out OHPVers doing their own 'bent
version starting from Lucky Lab, etc.
