Hi Don and Lee,
First, what a cool rig you've put together Lee ! That looks like either the
31 or the 50 cc 4 stroke Honda motor you are using as your ICE assist. I bet
you can maintain a very spry clip on that set up,with exceptional gas
mileage ! Perchance 100 - 150 mpg with some human assist ? Are you pulling a
trailor too or is somebody sagging your gear down for you? All I can say is
, more power to you and we welcome you to our gathering !
I hope Michael Wolf is out there listening, because I would defer to his
extensive and personal knowledge of the route down from the lower half of
the state (Wash), thru to PIR. He can remember every nuance of any leg of
every route he has ever taken, I'm just amazed at his recall abilities. I
would imagine that taking the STP route from Seattle down to at least the
Chehalis area would prove to be the most efficient/safest and yet still
scenic route. From there, you would need to possibly change your route so
that you wouldn't have too ( unless you want too), travel out over the
bridge at Longview and cruise in on hwy 30. Seems like Mike described a path
much closer to the I-5 corridor some months back that might be easier to
stay closer to the main pipe ( I - 5 ). And if Mike doesn't read these
messages, I'm sure there is a plethora of folk out there who have knowledge
of a final flight path for Lee.
Ciao,
Tom Breedlove ( member of HPC committee)
