I would also expect recovery time as a factor. Yesterday was my
seventh straight day of riding (about 360 miles total) and last night
I could hardly walk up the stairs at the Schnitz at the PYP concert.

On the breathing, seasonal allergies are starting to kick in pretty
good now. I am medicating for them on the major rides - perhaps they
could be a factor too?
