Greeting OHPVers.
Another month of events is coming and it looks to be a busy month.  It’s 
time to wipe the grime off the chain and pray for sun.

FYI:  We had a nice turn-out at the last OHPV meeting.  My thanks to 
everyone that was there.  Several topics were discussed.  Here are a few 
that you should know about.
Recumbent Retreat. On-line registration is open and sites are going fast.  
Act now to get prime sites.
PIR Races. On-line registration is now available.
Michael shared with us a review of his expedition to New Zealand.  Very 
cool.

Here are this coming months events.  I hope to see you there.  Enjoy, and 
keep the rubber side down.

Promontory Park, East of Estacada at mile marker 31 on Highway 224
COURSE: Out and back on highway 224 along the Clackamas River. The pavement 
is in good to excellent condition. Course rises less than 500 feet
ENTRY FEE: $15 Pre-Registered or $18 day of race (Series pass $40 by US mail 
by April 7th).

Location: East Vancouver. Starts in the parking lot behind the shops,

Smell The Roses (STR) ride (Portland)

Sunday 11:00 am
Starts at Salmon Street Springs Fountain.
Laid Back Casual ride, good for beginners and families. Stops for lunch. 
Rain Cancels.

Monster Cookie Metric Century
April 30th
Sunday at 8:00
Pre-registration $12:00, day-of $20:00
The Monster Cookie route covers 62 miles of countryside north of Salem and 
is generally flat with a few short hills. The lunch stop is at Champoeg 
State Park on the Willamette River. Checkpoint services include cookies, 
fruit and other snacks, water, and toilet facilities. The route will close 
at 4:00 pm.
