Tha Capt here ~

I used a Carbon Spider Visor while crossing the United States last summer.
Is was a god send. Though one can trim it to suit personal taste I left mine
as it came "long". I wanted the sun protection for those long days in the
saddle. Yes - it does enhanse aero dynamics which most of us recumbenteers
are always seeking for. As far as the wind catching it - it will "if"
mounted on a hinge type of visor that some helmets feature. After going to
the linked website, I noticed an improvment with the mounting system. The
visor is now straped on each corner to prevent the inevitable loosening of
the musroom catches on each side of the visor. No longer will the visor
corner come loose unexpectantly. Also with this improved method of mounting
to the visor - it would probably prevent the unexpected hinging of the visor
to some extent - which would prevent the wind from getting under the visor.
For the most part though I love my Spider - It has a lot of wear and tear on
it and only recently have I had to put an edgeing on the visor to cover some
of the fractured edges from long term use. I would buy another in a heart
beat.

Just thought you would like some feed back with mileage.

later ~
