I just got wind of road construction on the old Columbia Gorge Hwy.  
So I went online to ODOT and found the following info.  We are still going
to ride it on Sunday.  When we get home, we'll post a note to let Monday's
riders know just what the road conditions are.  If they are too bad, we'll
just have to ride the freeway back (yuck).

Comments: Motorists should expect minor delays on the Historic Columbia
River Highway from Latourell Creek to Cooply Falls. Work is under way on a
project to improve drainage and pave a section of the Historic Columbia
River Highway. This week workers plan to grind and pave the HCRH from
Latourell Road to the Cooply Falls. Flaggers will control traffic Wednesday,
July 5 and Thursday, July 6 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily and from 6:30
a.m. to noon on Friday, July 7. Motorists traveling on the HCRH should
expect delays.
