Well, if speed were really the goal, the "rocket scientist" would: A)  
Start with high pressure tires; 2)  Use a properly fitted bike, and; 
III) Wear something slightly more aerodynamic than a flight suit 
(aircrewmen don't call them "bags" for nothin').

If he really wanted to reach terminal velocity, he'd be pushing a 53/11 
at about 120 rpm (he's going downhill in the picture... it would be 
possible) before lighting off the candle.  If he wanted to make it 
_really_ terminal, he could try attaching his toy to the likes of one of 
those faired butt-draggers that I've seen Cap'n Dink with out at PIR  
Now THAT would have some team crash potential!
