I did it - got out and rode 25 miles today - the first time I've been on my
bike since I moved. My quads are whining and it's evident how much
condition I've lost, but I didn't walk any hills and I didn't avoid them,
either. I got up too late to do any of the organized New Years Day rides,
so just did my own thing once I pried myself out of bed and lethargy and
after resetting my odometer for a new year. I put the fairing and the tail
sock on the Aero and headed out into the blasts of air and sideways rain,
got soaked and saw some beautiful sights and had a great time. I almost got
knocked over twice with the gusts of wind. I love that saying: "There is no
such thing as bad weather - only poor choices in clothing"! I also love the
tail sock - it is a noticeable improvement on flats and downhills and the
visibility factor is a HUGE plus. Can't tell you how many motorists were
gaping at the bike (and I waved and smiled to all gapers)!

: -)

Last night I went to the New Years Eve party at the Spruce Goose/Evergreen
Aviation and had a fantastic evening, then as soon as I was back home in the
wee hours of the morning, I registered for STP..I know. I need a LIFE).

I hope to catch up with everyone soon and also hope that all of you had a
great New Years eve and the best of everything coming your way in the new
year.

Let the cycling begin!
