Roses' ride, which is pretty laid-back and family-oriented. More info at

Also, please consider the one and only world famous Recumbent Retreat, Aug.
18-20, at the coast. It's a camping trip, recumbent social, and a bunch of
rides (different levels) all rolled into one. Details at

Yup. There's a hard-core element here (shhh, don't tell them -- they think
they're normal -- but we have some monsters here). Do not miss the 7th
annual Human Power Challenge on Memorial Day weekend at Portland
International Raceway. You'll see it all there, with enough race classes to
please almost anyone. It's fun and free to watch -- and pretty much anyone
