Thanks to everyone who made suggestions on this (including Jeff, Bill, Tweety, Jim P., Lonnie, Keith, and others -- even Sheldon).
I came to two conclusions: 1) Shorter cranks probably will be better for me, and 2) I have the cranks that I have -- so I'm going to keep 'em ride 'em.

Subject: [OHPV-list] Crankset Suggestions?
Hi all,
I just acquired a nice pre-owned HPV. It came with a beautiful, new (never seen a chain) Dura-Ace 7703 crankset. The crankarms are 172.5 mm, and I'm thinking that I should go shorter. [I have 175s on my Vision and the pedal circle has always been a challenge for me.]
Basically, I have two questions:
1. What is the collective wisdom on crank length? If I get another crank, I'd be inclined to go down to 165 mm, but that would be something of a 'knee-jerk' reaction. ;^)
2. Is anybody interested in buying a very beautiful, expensive road triple? Here's a little info about it at http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=21678&subcategory_ID=5122 . [Hint: It has 30-39-53 chainrings and may be a good go-fast upgrade for a Gold-Rush or similar.]
Thank you for your input!
