[OHPV-list] Movie Madness

As much as I hope a couple people show up for the Ja-Va-La-Va ride
Saturday, I'll forgive you for forgoing the ride- there's an 80% chance of
rain.

If you're wanting to stay dry, there's a couple movies that you might want
to check out:

The "Filmed by Bike" festival at the Clinton Street theater:
http://www.filmedbybike.org/
There's a description on the Bike Portland site:
http://bikeportland.org/2006/04/09/filmed-by-bike-coming-this-friday/
I'd love to see what the mini-bike riding geisha is all about, but, alas,
I'm working Friday evening.

For an entirely different perspective, check out "Wired to Win" at OMSI:
http://www.wiredtowinthemovie.com/home.html . It's got a good story, but
the scenes of the Tour de France are amazing. You'll get the Tour in all
its gut-wrenching, sphincter-tightening glory.

And if you want to see a really good film about a kindred soul, go see
"The World's Fastest Indian". There's still a couple theaters showing it
in town, so time's a-wasting! A short review:
"The World's Fastest Indian is a movie about an old coot and his
motorcycle, yes, but it is also about a kind of heroism that has gone out
of style." Roger Ebert
