Yesterday I mailed the entry form and fee for the race Oct. 2 even though
we don't quite have enough people on our Shimon's Boat crew. Wife Nancy
is presently listed as pit crew but she would rather be a dancer and
photographer. The time when we really need another one or two pit crew or
pilot is Sunday Oct. 2 from 10:30 AM to 5 PM. Saturday from 10:30 AM-2 PM
would also be helpful for training time in the parade, brake test and water
test. Present plan - Nancy and I will be leaving Vancouver mid day Friday
Sept 30 in my van with Shimon's Boat. Brother Roger will be leaving
Normandy Park near Seattle late Friday afternoon/early evening with his van
and camper trailer. Both of us will have room to carry additional
crewmembers. We plan to camp at the fairgrounds in Port Townsend if it is
available. We plan to leave Port Townsend after awards ceremony and dinner
Sunday night. I expect to be back in Vancouver between midnight and 1 AM.
Pilots and pit crew can expect to pedal up steep hills, sing our song, and
possibly get wet, cold and dirty. If any of you feel the need for this
adventure, please reply to this e-mail and volunteer. If you can ride with
us and stay in Roger's trailer you will have little expense. We would
really appreciate the help.

God bless you.
