[OHPV-list] Dave's Birthday Ride

Dave has decided on this Saturday, Oct 8th as the day for his birthday ride
and party.  

And you don’t have to go on the ride to come to the dinner.  Stop by and
have a bite to eat and wish him Happy 60th Birthday. (Oct 6)

 

Recap:  meet at Faraday Dam parking lot at 9:30am to be on the road by
10:00am sharp.  Ride to Ripplebrook Ranger Station, and back.

 

Directions:  Take I-205, then exit for Estacada (Hwy 212 / 224) Head East –
at Y in road, veer right towards Carver / Estacada.  In Carver at Y in road,
veer left, towards Estacada.  Through Carver curves, past Eagle Creek, into
Estacada.  Throught town at Y in road, stay in left lane and go straight
towards Detroit Lake, Ripplebrook R.S.   About a mile, the road starts
uphill and curves left.  There will be a driveway on your right for Faraday
Dam parking lot.  Look for the cyclists ;)  I will be making the ride a
short one, for me, so I can get home and get lasagna in the oven.  Anyone
else want to do the same is welcome to join me. 

 

Dinner:  plan to eat about 6:00pm at our house:  5004 SE 58th Ave, Portland,
97206  Corner of SE 58th & SE Raymond in mustard yellow house on the corner,
about ¼ mile south of Holgate, and ¼ mile east of 52nd.    Ph  503  771

You only need to bring what ever you want to drink, and any special foods
for yourself, if chips, salsa, veggie plate, salad, garlic bread, lasagna,
or birthday cake are not on your diet.

 

Please RSVP for dinner, if you haven’t already.  I want to make sure there’s
enough to feed all you hungry cyclists!!!!

Hi all  -  Well, Slug has a “major” birthday happening next week, and wants
to celebrate with a birthday ride followed by dinner over here.  We hope
lots of you will join us for the ride and/or the dinner.  Or at least to
stop by and say hi.  The presence of friends are the only presents he wants.
(no gifts please)
