Very sorry to hear of your painful incident.

Both Virginia and I used to work at OHSU; echoes of walking the same
paths...

You're welcome to borrow my BikeE stationary magnetic trainer anytime.

For motorcycle people, the reversed R/L brake is what they're used to.
(Lonnie?)

Could it be like the Dvorak keyboard layout, or Kilometer speed limit
signs? These are clearly superior designs, but with short term cost &
transition/reacclimation difficulties for some people's circumstances.

Optimal R/L brake choice probably depends on handedness and F/R weight
distribution. Yet another case of right-handed majority marginalizing
the left (but please let's leave politics out of it!).

To further blur the topic--what about dyslexics?

I experimented with linking one side to _both_ disc brakes, but found
that maintaining and adjusting modulation and 'feel' was 4 times
trickier (at least until I replace my worn brake pads).

Best,

Steve
